T.A DÉCOR fragments the spaces of GDL525 into sets for the mise-en-scène of a chamber play, breaking the domestic into the theatrical. Themes of isolation, love, ownership, property, selfhood, attraction-repulsion loop on each other as overly romanticized bourgeois ready-mades, in the articulation of a narcoleptic dysfunctional tragedy on the nightmare edge of the sheltered world. Fabricating itself by dramatizing the everyday, the piece mixes dialogues, filmshoots, scripts for camera, dubbings, screen-tests and songs produced in a rapid flow. By isolating the interiors of the apartment 525, the piece casts the domestic as a theatrical prompt and scenario for a performance of inhabitation and for a staging about the intricacies of intimacy and the violence and inevitability of projections in the imagination and shaping of oneself, another and the world.
